Suhner Industrial Products LLC offers the Power Air Respiratory System e3000 to protect operators during high-grit grinding and polishing operations. The system, in combination with the e3000 lightweight helmet, offers respiratory protection and safety from the effects of smoke, dust and vapor, as well as maximum operator comfort. The system has a variable air flow rate from 150 to 250 Nl per min. and a high flow rate of 250 l per min. The system also features a high-efficiency battery pack with operating times of up to 20 hours.

Pferd Inc.’s Polifan PSF Z-TRIM flap discs have a lightweight composite backing that can be trimmed to extend service life. The composite backer and flap arrangement help reduce vibration and noise levels as well. Produced with a higher density of zirconia coated material than standard PSF flap discs, the discs are for applications including surface grinding, weld grinding, blending, chamfering and deburring on steel and stainless steel. They are available in 4.5 in. and 5 in. dia. with a 7/8-in. plain arbor hole or a 5/8-11 thread for threaded spindles.

Pferd Inc. restructured its sales operations into three distinct regions: East, Central and West. The new structure will bring greater customer focus for each region. Metabo Corp. offers the 7.0-Amp hour (Ah) Lithium High-Density (LiHD) battery technology. With 100 percent longer run time than 5.2-Ah traditional lithium-ion batteries, the battery pack is suited for the growing industrial cordless market. It is the industry’s standard-size 18-V pack with the largest capacity. Building on Ultra-M Technology, designers increased battery capacity to 7.0 Ah without adding additional size or weight to the battery itself.
